ENERGY DIVERSITY
Access to energy has recently taken a prominent place in the global development agenda. It has been placed in a clear position among the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG -7) of the agenda 2030, which is; “to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, modern energy for all by 2030”.

BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY
There are emerging strides being made in industry  4.0.  As such, oil and gas industries are undergoing a transition, which is quite conspicuous considering the attention given to rebranding of identity.  Regardless,  oil and gas companies are in a deliberate search for data, transaction encryption measures to mitigate the risk associated with cyber theft. As a result, the need to secure oil field data, transactions and documents in a decentralized System using a technology often referred to as blockchain cannot be overemphasized.

ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS
By definition,   a  neural network is a  collection of hardware and software components that is modeled after the way neurons work in the human brain. Essentially, it enables computers to think and learn in the same way that humans do. Assume that you walk to work. Your decision to report to work is mostly influenced by the weather. Given the binary nature of the inputs, let us frame the conditions as yes or no questions.  Is the weather cooperating?  1 indicates yes, 0 indicates no.

INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT)
Over the years, the energy industry has experienced transitions in technology. With challenges encountered in the operation and control of machinery, the need to develop smart tools to mitigate the challenges and enhance productivity is paramount. With growth and development being a driving force behind the operation of the energy industry, devices have been developed to promote communications between physical devices and humans to aid production processes.  As such,  the developed devices are connected by a network generally known as the “internet of things”.
